　　My name is Jie Lidi. Today, my topic is: “Confidence”. As we all know,failure is the mother of success. But What I want to say is that success is thechild of confidence. Without confidence, things can becom#e negative anduncom#fortable. I remember, during an English class, I wanted to make a sentenceusing the word "listen". I should have said: "I listen to the Voice of America"but I was too nervous and said "I listen to the Noise of America". Everybody inthe class laughed. Since then I wanted to train myself to be confident. Now,confidence makes me brave and courageous. Take this speech for example. I wantedto enter this com#petition, but I would feel very embarrassed if I mademistakes. Just then, I thought about my dream. My dream is to becom#e ascientist when I grow up. If I am not confident, how can I overcom#edifficulties I faceIf I am not confident, how can I succeed in developingmyself in the futureI will do it! Today, I am making a speech in public and Ifeel proud and confident!

　　my great pleasure to share my dream with you today. my dream is to becom#ea teacher....

　　As the whole world has its boundaries, limits and freedom coexist in ourlife. I don’t expect com#plete freedom, which is impossible. I simply have adream that supports my life.

　　I dream that one day, I could escape from the deep sea of thick schoolbooksand lead my own life. With my favorite fictions, I lie freely on the greengrass, smelling the spring, listening to the wind singing, breathing the freshand cool air and dissolve my soul in nature at last. Simple and short enjoymentcan bring me great satisfaction.

　　I dream that one day the adults could throw their prejudice of com#ic andcartoon away. They could keep a lovely heart that can share sorrow and happinesswith us while watching cartoon or doing personal things. That’s the realcom#munication of heart to heart.

　　I have the belief that my dreams should com#e true. I am looking forward tosome day com#ing when I am like a proud eagle, which flies to the blue and vastsky.

　　Ladies and Gentlemen, Good morning! I’m very glad to stand here and giveyou a short speech.

　　Man’s life is a process of growing up, actually I’m standing here is agrowth. If a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then I grow upalong with these choices. Once I hope I can study in a college in future,however that’s passed, as you know I com#e here, now I wonder what the futureholds for me.

　　When I com#e to this school, I told to myself: this my near future, allstarts here. Following I will learn to becom#e a man, a integrated man, who hasa fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind,intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfectjob.
