Nothing can be more exciting than success to a man.But you must face manydifficulties before you can succeed. No one can make it easily. And it's harderfor those who are in adverse conditions to succeed. However, everything has twosides.Just as someone said, in every adversity there lies the seed of anadvantage and in every defeat there is a lesson showing you how to win thevictory next time. The most important focus is to establish a brief, that isperseverance. The British ex-prime minister Winston Churchill had a motto of"Never, never, never, never give up .Nothing can substitute for hard work. Lifeis a process of struggle for success.
三分钟英语演讲稿坚持【三】The prizes of life are at the end of each journey, not near the beginning;and it is not given to me to know how many steps are necessary in order to reachmy goal. Failure I may still encounter at the thousandth step, yet success hidesbehind the next bend in the road. Never will I know how close it lies unless Iturn the corner.
Always will I take another step. If that is of no avail I will takeanother, and yet another. In truth, one step at a time is not too difficult.
Henceforth, I will consider each day's effort as but one blow of my bladeagainst a mighty oak. The first blow may cause not a tremor in the wood, nor thesecond, nor the third. Each bolw, of itself, may be trifling, and seem of noconsequence. Yet from childish swipes the oak will eventually tumble. So it willbe with my efforts of today.
I will be liken to the rain drop which washes away the mountain; the antwho devours a tiger; the star which brightens the earth; the slave who builds apyramid. I will build my castle one brick at a time for I know that smallattempts, repeated, will complete any undertaking.
三分钟英语演讲稿坚持【四】Everyone has his dreams, but not all these dreams can come true. Peoplegive up their dreams for this or that reason. Those whose dreams become truehave at least one thing in common, that is, they always hold fast to theirdreams.
Marie Curie, a famous scientist, has set a good example. In 1898, Mariefound a new element in the pitchblende. In order to prove her discovery, shemust get it and show it to the world. Then to get the new element became herdream and goal of her life. After four years"" hard work and refinement of tonsof pitchblende, Marie and her hus-band at last saw the dim blue light of the newelement -- radium. Her dream had come true. There are many other examples. Justaround us, for instance, the athletes who gain the gold medals, the artists whoare popular with the public, and even the students who enter tile universityafter years of hard study and preparation, are all dream-holders.
Hold fast to your dreams, no matter how big or small they are. The path todreams may not be smooth and wide, even some sacrifices are needed, but hold onto the end, you ,sill find there is no greater happiness than making your dreamcome true.
