　　Red： Rehabilitated？ Now let me see. You know， I don＇t have any idea what that means.

　　Parole official： Well， it means that you＇re ready to rejoin society.

　　Red： I know what you think it means， sonny. To me it＇s just a made up word； a politician＇s word. So young fellas like yourself can wear a suit， and tie， and have a job. What do you really want to know？ Am I sorry for what I did？

　　Parole official： Well， are you？

　　Red： There＇s not a day goes by I don＇t feel regret. Not because I＇m in here， or because you think I should. I look back on the way I was then then， a young， stupid kid who committed that terrible crime. I want to talk to him. I want to try and talk some sense to him， tell him the way things are. But I can＇t. That kid＇s long gone and this old man is all that＇s left. I got to live with that. Rehabilitated？ It＇s just a bullshit word. So you go on and stamp your form， sonny， and stop wasting my time. Because to tell you the truth， I don＇t give a shit.

　　红色：更生？现在，让我看看.你知道，我没有任何想法是什么意思.

　　假释官员：嗯，这意味着你就可以重返社会.

　　红色：我知道你认为这意味着，孩子.对我来说只是一个字组成，一个政治家的话.所以像你自己可以穿西装，打领带，并有工作年轻小伙子们.你真想知道？我对我没有什么遗憾？

　　The world we live in is becoming more and more intolerable because of environmental destruction. For example ， forest destruction results in decrease of planting land and unpleasant weather. In addition， man is faced with problems of water pollution and air pollution.

　　A lot of measures have been taken. Planting trees helps improve and beautify the environment. Besides， laws concerning environmental protection have been put into effect and achieved good results.

　　However， the problem of environmental protection remains far from being solved. On the one hand， the environment pollution and destruction are getting worse and worse in the modern world. On the other hand， the lack of knowledge about the importance of protecting environment hinders the solving of the problem. In a word， there is a long way to go before we enjoy a clean and comfortable world.
